Purdue Space Day is an annual event inspiring K-12 students with hands-on space-themed STEM activities. Led by Purdue students, the event brings engineering and science concepts to life, fostering curiosity and a passion for space exploration in young minds.
Hydraulic Arm Activity
I designed and rapidly prototyped a syringe-actuated arm activity meant to introduce children to the concept of hydraulics. The students work together to assemble a custom jigsaw puzzle utilizing the arm's motion.
All the parts were printed on my Bambu X1C 3D printer with a mixture of PLA Metal and carbon fiber-reinforced PLA.
Eclipse Beta was an EPICS project aimed to assist local communities in preparation for the 2024 Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8. The project involved creating an educational activity for children waiting for the solar eclipse.
K-12 S'mores Solar Oven Kit
Led a student team through the entire design cycle of an educational arts and crafts activity for K-12 children from schools across all of Indiana.
Optimized the manufacturing and assembly of 1,200 DIY s’mores solar oven kits by utilizing techniques such as FDM 3D printing and laser cutting.
Collaborated with community partners, including the Indiana Space Museum and Randolph County, to promote safe and engaging eclipse viewing experiences.
